RH-CT/DTU ARTICHOKE Meetings
Every two weeks, clinical researchers from RH-CT and engineers from DTU come together to discuss the development and application of imaging biomarkers in cardiac CT. These meetings foster a collaborative environment where participants can share insights, address challenges, and explore new methods aimed at improving cardiac imaging and exploring cardiovascular imaging biomarkers. This ongoing dialogue enhances both medical and engineering approaches, driving innovation and aiming to improve patient outcomes in cardiac care.
Inaugural Professor Lecture by Shoaib Afzal
As part of Dr. Shoaib Afzal’s appointment as clinical professor in clinical biochemistry, on the 15th of May 2024 Dr. Shoaib Afzal held his inaugural professor lecture in clinical epidemiology. A big congratulations to Professor Shoaib Afzal. This lecture included an introduction to his academic interests and research focus with the participation of colleagues, students, and the broader university community. This lecture highlighted Dr. Shoaib Afzal’s past and current research projects, methodologies, and significant findings in the field of clinical epidemiology. It served as an opportunity to outline future research directions, discussing the applications of statistical methods in clinical research, and emphasized the importance of epidemiological studies in understanding and addressing public health issues.
